Let’s celebrate another great quilting year with fun and games…and cake, of course!
Along with a Sit & Sew Supper (Pot Luck)
You’ll only need to make one Challenge Quilt in 2019! Your entry will be displayed & voted upon at both the Day & Night July meetings, with prizes awarded at the Night meeting. Bring some hand work to enjoy while viewing these gorgeous quilts.
From Traditional to Contemporary: “Releasing the Artist in All of Us”
Eileen’s presentation is certain to speak to all types of quilters and inspire us to venture into new quilting territory. She was among the first to present foundation piecing as a way to create art quilts. Her “When Grandmother’s Lily Garden Blooms” is in the permanent collection in Paducah.
$40 class fee due with sign up. The thrust of the workshop is to develop unique, individual floral gardens from the numerous blocks given in handouts. Class work will complete several blocks then move on to composition, ‘sew-able’ arrangements, variations and pre-planning an entire project. Check out website: www.thedesignersworkshop.com
